SJPD WebDVD Toolkit

The power of combining video media, web links and ROM document storage has come of age in the San Jose Police Department WebDVD Toolkit. This DVD is specifically designed to give a police recruit a thorough review with extensive video elements. In addition, they can print out important documents, surf the websites of all participating organizations and actually complete their online application.

The SJPD has been serving San Jose since 1849 and a bit of this fascinating history is on the DVD. Over 60 specialized units including K-9, Mounted Patrol, Detective units, Air Support and the MERGE unit are featured. Recruits get to see the extensive testing they will undergo and the Police Academy they will attend.

"Being prepared for this kind of a challenging career isn't an accident" states Sergeant Bruce Toney who heads the recruiting effort for the SJPD. Special hidden features in the DVD also allow Toney's officers to use the DVD at Career Fairs and as speaker support for numerous presentations.
